That Old Photo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI photo restoration service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep this short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at info@thatoldphoto.com.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your profile photo. We use a third party authentication provider to handle sign in securely.
• Photos you upload. Any image you upload to restore is stored in our secure cloud storage so that we can process it and deliver the restored result back to you.
• Payment information. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We only receive a confirmation that a purchase completed and the credit pack you purchased.
• Basic usage data. We log standard request information (such as IP address and timestamps) so we can keep the service running, prevent abuse, and debug problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Restore the photos you submit and deliver the results.
• Manage your account, your credit balance, and your purchases.
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
• Keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and comply with the law.

3. Your Photos Are Yours

This is the most important part of this policy, so we’ll be direct about it:

• You own your photos. Uploading a photo to That Old Photo does not transfer ownership of that photo to us. Your memories belong to you.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models. Your photos are used only to produce the restored result you requested. They are never added to a training dataset, sold, or shared for any kind of model learning.
• We don’t sell your photos. Ever.
• You can delete them. You can request deletion of your uploaded and restored photos at any time by emailing us. When you delete your account, we delete your photos along with it.

4. Service Providers

To run the service, we share limited information with trusted third parties:

• A cloud authentication and storage provider, used to manage your account and store your files securely.
• Stripe, used to process payments. Stripe’s privacy practices are described on their website.
• Third party image processing providers, used to perform the actual photo restoration. Photos sent to these providers are used only to generate your restored image and are not retained for training.

We only share what is necessary for these providers to perform their function.

5. Data Security

We use industry standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls on storage, and authenticated APIs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your account and your photos safe.

6. Children’s Privacy

That Old Photo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@thatoldphoto.com and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your personal information and your photos from our systems.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated more visibly.
